City of Hope Orange County is seeking a Clinical Practice Education Specialist (CPES), a dynamic nursing leader who designs, implements, and evaluates education initiatives across ICU, Hematology, and ETC. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Current California RN license required.
• Minimum of three years of oncology experience.
• ANCC Magnet-recognized specialty certifications updated in DDCT.
• Minimum of one year in education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency programs for nursing staff in ICU, Hematology, and ETC units.
• Assess educational needs and practice gaps through data analysis and collaboration with nurse leaders and frontline staff.
• Design and implement evidence-based clinical education programs supporting practice, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and bedside education to promote clinical excellence.
• Lead efforts to integrate best practices and emerging research into clinical operations.
• Support specialty certification and continuing education opportunities for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety, quality care, and innovation.
• Participate in policies, procedures, and practice guidelines development and revision.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care issues and advanced therapies in ICU and oncology care.
• Facilitate simulation-based education and mock codes to enhance emergency response competencies.
• Engage in scholarly activities including research, presentations, and publications as appropriate.

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing

Current California RN license

Minimum of three (3) years oncology experience or applicable experience

Specialty Nursing Certification, ANCC Magnet-recognized certifications as updated in ANCC DDCT

Minimum of one (1) year in education (preferred)
