Qualifications

  • MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and assist with check-in and scheduling.
  • Support nurses on the infusion unit and assist with transfers.
  • Obtain weights and vital signs and document them.
  • Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-payments and assist with billing documentation.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications.
  • Prepare schedules and patient charts; maintain confidentiality.

You will welcome patients, obtain weights and vital signs, support nurses on the infusion unit, and help coordinate each patient’s visit.What You’ll Do* Welcome patients and assist with check-in* Escort patients to the infusion area* Obtain and document patient weights and vital signs* Remove IVs as directed by the nursing team* Assist with patient transfers when needed* Communicate patient needs and relevant information to nurses* Schedule appointments, diagnostic services, and laboratory testing* Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information* Collect co-payments and support billing documentation* Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications* Prepare schedules, patient charts, and other required documents* Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate professionally by phone and in personRequired Qualifications:* High School diploma or GED required.* 0-1 years related work experience required.* Basic familiarity with computers.
