Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist I (Oncology) to join a premier regional health system. You will lead medication therapy optimization, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and develop protocols to advance patient safety and outcomes.

You will mentor pharmacists and residents, participate in clinical research and quality initiatives, and contribute to innovative pharmacy services across transitions of care and formulary efforts.

Qualifications

• PharmD required with active pharmacist license.
• Residency and/or specialty experience with board certification pathways.
• Strong clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical pharmacy expert within oncology and other specialties as assigned.
• Optimize medication therapy through clinical review, intervention, and evidence-based recommendations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with physicians, nurses, and care teams.
• Develop protocols, order sets, and formulary initiatives to improve care.
• Lead medication utilization evaluations and quality improvement projects.
• Provide pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and safety oversight.
• Educate patients during transitions of care and support medication reconciliation.
• Mentor pharmacists, residents, and students; participate in research and committees.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Active Registered Pharmacist license
• Residency and/or specialty experience meeting one of the following:
• PGY2 Residency (Board Certification required within one year of hire)
• PGY1 Residency plus two years of specialty practice experience and Board Certification
• Five years of specialty practice experience with Board Certification if no residency
• Strong clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
