Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio seeks full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the Feik School of Pharmacy to provide acute care clinical services at Baptist Medical Center. Responsibilities include curriculum development, interactive lectures, experiential teaching, student mentoring, and timely assessments while upholding UIW's mission

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; eligible for licensure in Texas.
• Completion of two years of postgraduate residency training in internal medicine, family medicine, pharmacotherapy, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in managing common conditions in the acute care setting.
• Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or other applicable specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and participate in curriculum development.
• Deliver interactive didactic lectures aligned with curriculum goals.
• Provide clinical pharmacy service to acutely ill patients in the experiential curriculum.
• Advise and mentor students with weekly office hours.
• Conduct scholarly research and publication; contribute to service to the department and university.
