Job summary
MMC-Memorial Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Intern to assist in medication preparation and distribution under supervision. You will support the pharmacist in providing safe, effective care aligned with the patient’s plan and applicable regulations.
Eligibility includes completion of two semesters or three quarters in an accredited school of pharmacy and PHARMI-Pharmacy Intern certification. Opportunities to gain hands-on experience in diverse pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Two semesters or three quarters in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- PHARMI-Pharmacy Intern certification.
- Knowledge of NABP, TJC, USP 800 and related regulations.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution.
- Ensures safe, effective and cost-efficient medication therapy.
- Acts as support to staff pharmacist to gain experience for licensure.
