Job summary

GapRx 340B Consultants in Iowa City seeks a licensed pharmacist to coordinate and supervise pharmacy services, including prescription review, dispensing, immunizations, MTM, and patient counseling. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and patient safety in a contract position.

You will supervise staff, organize workflow, maintain records, and ensure regulatory adherence while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to the community. Requires Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Must have PharmD or RPh degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Currently licensed as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years of experience as a pharmacist.
• Supervisory/management experience or skills.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Review and adjudicate physician prescriptions for appropriateness and legality.
• Organize the pharmacy efficiently to streamline product identification.
• Maintain control over dispensing, stocking, labeling, and monitoring product conditions.
• Listen to customers to interpret needs and provide information and advice.
• Provide immunizations and other services such as MTM and vital measurements.
• Prepare medicines with correct dosages and materials for each patient.
• Maintain patient history records and activity logs for medications.
• Supervise and coordinate all pharmacy staff and technicians.
• Develop plans to mitigate DIR fees focusing on quality and compliance.
• Comply with all legal rules, regulations and procedures.
• Perform any other duties related to the pharmacist role as required.
