Job summary

Adena Health System in Chillicothe invites you to join as Clinical Pharmacist Specialist – ARMC (Variable) FT. You will participate in rational, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and collaborate with teams to optimize therapy while handling confidential information.

The role requires a PharmD or BS, Ohio license, and 3–5 years of clinical leadership; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BS or PharmD ACPE Accredited Program in Pharmacy.
• Current license to practice Pharmacy in Ohio; board certification and/or PGY1 residency preferred.
• Good communication skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate, cost-effective drug therapy and monitoring.
• Learn and utilize point-of-care testing devices and direct patient care procedures.
• Document clinical interventions and outcomes.
• Assist in implementing clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain clinical pharmacy initiatives through teamwork.
• Provide education on drug therapy and disease state management to internal and external customers.
• Improve medication therapy quality through system-wide collaboration.
• Attend Health System committees and provide drug education sessions.
