Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide safe, evidence-based medication services and to verify and dispense medications in compliance with regulations. The role includes documenting care, contributing to medication safety initiatives, and educating staff and students.

Responsibilities include using technology effectively, ensuring accreditation standards, interacting with patients, directing staff, and promoting a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for reciprocity within 90 days of hire. Board Certification preferred.
• For immunizations: BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) and completion of immunization course; ACLS/PALS/ALS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verifies medication orders and dispenses medications accurately according to regulations.
• Documents services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Actively contributes to medication safety initiatives.
• Utilizes available technology proficiently within their area of practice.
• Ensures all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintains professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful experiences.
• Directs staff to provide safe and efficient care.
• Maintains professional relationships with caregivers.
• Promotes a positive work environment with constructive ideas to improve services.
• Educates and trains students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
• Provides cost-effective care.
• Accountable for drug use policy adherence.
• Utilizes time and resources effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
