Job summary

Rosebud Indian Health Service (IHS) in Rosebud, South Dakota, seeks a Pharmacist (Clinical Staff Pharmacist) to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. You will work with physicians, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to optimize therapy and improve patient outcomes.

The role focuses on MTM, patient counseling, prescriptions review, and adherence to IHS and DEA standards, with opportunities to contribute to chronic disease management and quality

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited school.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal credentialing requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately per federal, state, and IHS regulations.
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, allergies, and duplications.
• Provide medication counseling and patient education.
• Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) and clinical interventions.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize pharmaceutical care and treatment plans.
• Monitor patient medication profiles and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Participate in chronic disease management programs (diabetes, HTN, anticoagulation).
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records in the EHR.
• Assist with inventory and controlled substance accountability.
