Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join Mercy Pharmacy West Oak. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy.
The role emphasizes clinical expertise, education, and teamwork in a retail-pharmacy setting. The position requires Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy with an active license, and prefers 2+ years of clinical experience or PGY-1 residency.
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.
