Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island is seeking a pharmacist to act as the clinical pharmacy expert within the organization and with external partners. You will support pharmacy program management and ensure therapies comply with plan designs and regulations.

Responsibilities include developing cost-effective pharmacy programs, collaborating with physicians, and educating departments on plan policies and benefits. Remote/hybrid options and strong compensation are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal departments and physicians to improve prescribing practices.
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness and formulary compliance.
• Assist in physician education interventions.
• Analyze prescription data to identify improvement opportunities and advise physicians.
• Educate internal departments on plan policies and benefits.
