Job summary

Medix in Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a growing specialty pharmacy team focused on rare, orphan, and complex disease states. You will optimize medication therapy, educate patients, support access to specialized medications, and collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care teams.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with training and a mix of clinical pharmacy and dispensing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and providers.
• Ability to work rotating Monday–Friday shifts with on-call responsibilities.
• Hybrid work model with ~50% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions and orders.
• Counsel and educate patients on medications.
• Handle inbound patient calls and adverse event reports.
• Provide clinical guidance and coordinate with care teams.
• Support access to specialized medications and program launches.
