Job summary

AnovoRx pharmacy seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee dispensing operations and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional patient care. The role emphasizes evaluating orders, providing therapeutic recommendations, and maintaining thorough patient profiles.

You will collaborate with prescribers, nursing staff, and care teams to optimize therapies, manage documentation, and support quality improvement initiatives. On-site work is required, with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or graduate degree from an accredited school of pharmacy; 1+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Current unrestricted license or registration in the required state(s), as required by law, and must be evidenced.
• Must be willing and able to work any dedicated 8-hour AnovoRx shift between 7am–7pm.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite on regularly scheduled shift Monday–Friday, if applicable.
• Must be willing and able to cover on-call rotation as needed.
• Must present professionally on the phone and in person.
• Must articulate thoughts well and communicate them clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable with repetitive motions in answering phones and using computer keyboard.
• Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispensing, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy personnel (technicians, and other pharmacy associates).
• Complies with FDA mandates and self-imposed manufacturer restrictions.
• Evaluates medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, route, interactions, high-risk considerations, and adverse reactions.
• Suggests therapeutic interventions and ensures availability for consultation with residents, prescribers, nursing staff, and health care representatives.
• Maintains patient/resident medication profiles including current and past medications and clinical data.
• Procures and maintains documentation per federal/state regulations and AnovoRx policy.
• Dispenses pharmaceuticals including biotech drugs for patients with rare diseases.
• Provides drug information and counseling, adhering to licensure requirements.
• Participates in Continuing Quality/Improvement programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Participates in pharmacovigilance training and follow-up with manufacturers as required.
