Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist - Retail for the Southlake Campus in Lenexa, with duties involving direct pharmaceutical care, rounding with the multidisciplinary team, and education to staff and students.

Rotation between our Main campus in Kansas City, KS, and Southlake campus in Lenexa, KS, includes every 6th weekend, with emphasis on safe, effective, and cost-conscious therapy and strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Pharmacist by State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preferred completion of PGY-1/PGY-2 residency.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in rounds and provides patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
• Reviews and monitors drug therapy for safety, efficacy, and cost.
• Assists with staffing and coverage across main and Southlake campuses.
• Verifies medication orders and ensures timely processing.
• Educates staff and precepts pharmacy residents and students.
• Contributes to patient safety and incident reporting.
• Performs medication reconciliation at admission, transfer, and discharge.
