Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Jackson, MS is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide age-specific pharmaceutical care and clinical services across assigned patient care areas. You will contribute to unit and hospital QA, PI activities and other initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing medication orders, participating in pharmacotherapeutic planning, supervising staff, preparing sterile products, and providing drug information and education.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy licensure must be current, active, and in good standing; eligible for licensure in the appropriate state.
• Computer literacy and strong communication skills are required.
• Basic clinical knowledge and ability to interpret medication orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication orders with age-specific considerations to ensure safety.
• Participate in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes.
• Supervise and direct healthcare team members as assigned.
• Prepare sterile products for dispensing.
• Contribute to goals, programs and report cards for unit/department.
• Provide drug information and education.
• Participate on inter- and intra-departmental committees.
• Promote safety and efficiency through appropriate use of automation.
