Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a staff pharmacist to ensure accurate, age-appropriate and timely preparation of medication orders. This role supervises technicians, interns and students while supporting daily pharmacy operations.

The pharmacist will provide drug information to patients and hospital staff, consult on drug interactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory procedures. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD / Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; residency preferred.
• Active Pharmacist licensure in South Carolina required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately per physician orders.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns and students.
• Provide drug information and education to patients, medical and hospital staff.
