Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, Florida, is seeking a Pharmacist to educate patients and clinicians on safe medication use and to ensure high-quality pharmacotherapy. You will participate in rounds, optimize medication safety, and supervise pharmacy staff while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a PharmD, FL pharmacist license, and hospital experience; offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate preferred.
Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
1+ hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on safe and effective medication use.
Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective medication therapy; participate in stewardship and surveillance.
Engage in direct patient care and interdisciplinary rounds; ensure smooth transitions of care.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff and interns; support team learning.
Identify and report medication safety events and adverse drug reactions.
Demonstrate proficiency with EHRs, pharmacy informatics, and automation to optimize documentation.
Contribute to practice advancement through research and collaboration.
Perform all pharmacist functions including compounding, dispensing, verification, and documentation across central and satellite areas.
