Job summary

The Pharmacist role at MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA, offers an opportunity to deliver prompt, accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses and physicians within a hospital setting.

You will apply your knowledge to support quality health services, supervising staff and ensuring safe medication practices. A WA license and BLS certification are required, with ASHP residency preferred and at least one year of pharmacy experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
• Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital/clinic/retail settings.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

• You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions.
• You will manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
• You will supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work.
• You will assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services.
• You will provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service.

FTE: 0.6,Shift: Variable,Schedule: Shifts may include decentralized clinical shifts, operational shifts, AM, PM, Nights (volunteer only), and ED (if competency); 8- or 10-hours shifts are possible (primarily 8-hour shifts).

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $75.89 - $101.98 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
