Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK seeks a Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist for day shift, full-time. The role oversees the daily operations of operational specialty practice areas within the pharmacy and provides pharmaceutical care to patients as needed.

Applicants must have a B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy, 3+ years in hospital pharmacy, and an active pharmacist license. BLS and EMR/Microsoft Office experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
• Provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor functionality, and ensure policies are documented and followed.
• Coordinate upgrade testing activities and education; serve as the SME for the operational specialty area.

Job Requirements

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE‑accredited School of Pharmacy.
• 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE‑accredited college of pharmacy.
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification (applicable to the specialty practice area) or other nationally recognized training or certification (applicable to the specialty practice area).
