Job summary

OhioHealth in Circleville, Ohio, seeks a licensed pharmacist for a full-time 32-hour/week Clinical/Operations role at Berger Hospital. You will dispense and compound medications, counsel patients, interpret prescriptions, and manage drug therapy in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

The role spans Acute Care, Ambulatory Care, and Retail responsibilities with precepting for students and residents.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with BS or PharmD and active Ohio license.
• Basic Life Support Certification current or obtained during orientation.
• ASHP accredited residency or equivalent pharmacy practice experience.
• Pharmacy Board Certifications or other certifications.
• Advanced-level degree in healthcare field.
• Collaborative practice experience.
• ACLS certification may be required to obtain.
• Pharmacokinetic drug dosing experience.
• Drug therapy management.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and compound medications and provide drug therapy-related devices.
• Counsel patients on medications and health topics and interpret prescriptions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and health-care practitioners to ensure safe, high-quality therapy.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents and provide educational programs.
• Direct and guide pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
• Manage patient drug therapy by initiating, monitoring, and modifying prescriptions in collaboration with providers.
• Engage in ambulatory care and population health initiatives to improve adherence and outcomes.
• Participate in safety, stewardship, and utilization initiatives.
