The pharmacist's efforts are directed primarily toward reviewing medication orders, conducting interventions with nurses and physicians and overseeing/checking the work of technicians, including the dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical preparations. The pharmacist participates in the quality improvement efforts of the department.
