Job summary

The State of Maryland – MDH, Office of Pharmacy Services in Baltimore seeks a licensed Clinical Pharmacist to serve as the program's clinical expert for the Maryland Medicaid Pharmacy Program, coordinating drug coverage policies and the Preferred Drug List operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD.
• One year of clinical pharmacy experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
• Notes: substitutions of four additional years of clinical pharmacist experience for education; residency experience may be counted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor clinical pharmacy services for Maryland Medicaid Pharmacy Program participants.
• Serve as the clinical expert on drug coverage policies and the Preferred Drug List (PDL) operations.
• Review and analyze Prospective and Retrospective Drug Utilization Management; ensure compliance and procurement of pharmacy services.
