Job summary

LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY HEALTH seeks a Clinical Pharmacist-Inpt to analyze, dispense, compound, monitor, and optimize pharmaceutical care for patients of all ages. The role supports training of pharmacists, technicians, students, and residents in a hospital setting, aligned with state and federal regulations.

The candidate should have PharmD or in some cases a B.Pharm with licensure in California and a minimum of one year of post-graduate hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ACPE-accredited school with PharmD or B.Pharm.
• CA Pharmacist license required; NICU/PICU path may require PharmD.
• Minimum 1 year post-graduate hospital experience preferred.

Job Summary: The Clinical Pharmacist-Inpt is responsible for analyzing, dispensing, compounding, monitoring, and recommending appropriate pharmaceutical care for patients of all ages. Work is accomplished in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state and federal authorities as well as accepted standards of practice. Assists in the training and education of new pharmacists, technicians, students, and residents. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Graduate from a school of pharmacy accredited by American Council of Pharmaceutical Education with Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) required. PharmD is required if Pharmacist is assigned to work in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Minimum one year of post-graduate hospital experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality; use computer for data input, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment; perform technical patient care activities. Ability to maintain good public relations skills. Ability to interact positively with broad range of co-workers. Promotes teamwork.
