Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee oncology pharmacotherapy, develop patient care plans and coordinate with clinical teams at the West Cancer Center in Tigard, Oregon.

The role requires 5+ years of oncology experience, leadership and project management, with Oregon licensure and BCOP eligibility preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and corporate support for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Pharm.D. and Oregon licensure to practice pharmacy.
  • BCOP board certification or eligibility within 3 years of hire.

  • Strong clinical oncology knowledge and collaborative communication.

Pharmacy services, especially in oncology, are rapidly developing with many new therapies being approved for management of cancers. They are also the catalyst for changes in the requirements and standards regarding oncology care. Compass Oncology is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team, and help our practice stay on the cutting edge of cancer care and research. Managing the patients receiving these therapies requires finely honed skills in order to optimize safety and efficacy. A pharmacist with over 5 years of experience including leadership and project management will find success in this role. Oncology experience is a must.

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F

Location: West Cancer Center (Tigard, Oregon)

Salary Range: $134,735.00- $191,895.00 salaried

**Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise as well as internal employee equity considerations.**

JOB SCOPE

Oversees pharmaceutical care plans in designated specialty areas or product lines, including initial patient evaluations, development of care plans, and ensuring treatment plans are carried out.

Ensures ongoing review of patient clinical status. Recommends adjustments to drug therapy based on clinical status and treatment outcomes.

Coordinates with clinical providers to ensure all aspects of pharmaceutical care are delivered safely and timely.

Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science from an accredited school of pharmacy, Pharm. D.
    • Pharmacy licensure (Licensed Registered Pharmacist) Oregon required. Oregon & Washington licensing preferred.
    • Current BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) or eligible to complete within 3 years of hire preferred.
  • Experience/Training:
    • (2) years of experience as registered pharmacist, with experience in oncology or other specialty preferred.
    • Strong clinical oncology pharmacy knowledge & experience.
    • Experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and problem-solving skills.
    • Commitment to professionalism and dedicated desire to advance patient care.
    • Experience in outpatient oncology and integrated practice associated retail pharmacy preferred.
    • Flexibility to travel between clinics as needed, requiring reliable transportation.
