Job summary

The Kroger Company, Smith’s division, seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in Salt Lake City. Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, counseling patients, supervising technicians and ensuring compliance with health, safety and privacy regulations.

You will administer immunizations, monitor patient profiles, collaborate with prescribers, and support inventory control while delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Board of Pharmacy license required.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, approachable and outgoing demeanor/team player.
• Sound judgement/decision making skills.
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
• Strong math skills (calculate discounts, proportions, percentages).
• Basic algebra and geometry skills (calculate circumferences, volume).
• APhA Immunization Certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately and counsel patients.
• Enter prescription data into computer system and maintain patient profiles.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide instruction.
• Counsel patients on side effects and drug interactions.
• Consult with prescribers on therapy appropriateness.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor inventory and daily operations under the pharmacy manager.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and health code compliance.
