Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a pharmacist to join the hospital pharmacy team in Massachusetts. You will clinically review orders for safety, intervene with prescribers, and supervise technicians to ensure daily patient needs are met.

Responsibilities include dispensing, drug information, and managing distribution of controlled substances and IV medications. Must hold a MA pharmacist license and have hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy with MA registration in Pharmacy.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinically reviews all medication orders to ensure safety for administration.
• Intervenes with health care professionals when necessary and documents interventions.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and interns to meet patient needs.
• Provides drug information to medical staff and patients on request.
• Manages day-to-day drug distribution including controlled substances, IV meds, extemporaneously compounded meds, repackaged meds and investigational drugs.
