JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist I in California to provide comprehensive patient care and medication management at City of Hope Orange County. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and collaborate with clinical staff to enhance patient safety and quality.
This per diem position offers an hourly rate of $92.03, and requires a graduate from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school, a current CA Pharmacist License, and BLS certification.
City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025. With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. The Clinical Pharmacist I is a licensed professional who provides safe and optimal comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Pharmacist I ensures federal, state, and local requirements, including all standards required by regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, are met. The Clinical Pharmacist I will perform medication management activities including analyzing, verification, monitoring, compounding, and dispensing. The Clinical Pharmacist I will serve as the medication management expert by providing accurate drug information to providers, nurses, and other clinical staff. The individual will supervise technicians during the shift and assist with training/education for pharmacy staff. It is expected that the Clinical Pharmacist I will collaborate with colleagues and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff. Additional duties may include quality and performance improvement activities or others as determined by Pharmacy Leadership.
