Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacy license in the state of practice; licensure within 60 days of start date.
• BLS/ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses drug orders per physician request according to policies and protocols.
• Interprets drug orders and transcribes/verifies into the computerized patient medication record.
• Compounds and dispenses non-sterile and sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
• Issues controlled substances and maintains required records.
• Provides pharmacy services efficiently and attends staff meetings.
• Supervises pharmacy staff and verifies daily activities of technicians.
• Ambulatory care: anticoagulation, patient education, and collaborative care with providers.
