How You’ll Impact Patient Care
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide appropriate age care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
- Current state pharmacist license is required in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
Nice To Have (Not Required)
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Maintains skills in area of practice.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training development skills.
- Demonstrates decision making, team building, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
- Life support training courses may be required dependent on department discretion.
