Location: Cancer Institute at Forsyth Medical Center primarily
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 1st shift schedule, may ultimately include weekends
Novant Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Hematology / Oncology. In this clinical role, you'll work side by side with oncology providers and nurses to deliver exceptional patient care, verify chemotherapy orders (including hazardous sterile admixture) and review treatment plans.
What You'll Do
- Review, enter, and modify oncology treatment plans with precision and clinical insight.
- Verify oncology orders, including hazardous and non-hazardous sterile admixtures.
- Counsel patients, both for chemotherapy and symptom management.
What We're Looking For
- Education: 4‑Year Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification required.
- Experience: Postgraduate Year 1 residency or fellowship, or two years as a registered pharmacist in a health‑system pharmacy. Oncology experience required.
- For Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship roles: ASHP‑accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease residency or a minimum of two years equivalent clinical pharmacy experience required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current pharmacy licensure in the appropriate state(s) required; must be completed within 30 days of start date by examination or reciprocity.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within two years of start date as applicable to the role, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed; ability to work as part of a high‑performing, change‑ready and resilient team.
