Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Current Michigan RPh license or Michigan eligibility along with required Controlled Substance license.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions to ensure safety and appropriateness and contacts prescriber when needed.
• Fills prescriptions by dispensing or compounding according to procedures.
• Interviews patients for medication history and provides counseling on therapy.
• Educates and trains medical and pharmacy students and residents.
• Supervises technicians, interns, clerks and students in medication preparation and related duties.
• Maintains inventory and records for medications and supplies and ensures proper storage and regulatory compliance.
