Hillsboro Health (Hillsboro Area Hospital) seeks a highly skilled pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations, review provider orders, and dispense medications in a safe, compliant manner. You will ensure medications are available and processed efficiently while adhering to CPS, hospital, and state/federal laws.

Key duties include evaluating orders, supervising technicians, guiding clinical drug use, and assisting in policy development and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy with minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
• Some hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Post-graduate residency preferred.
• Proficient computer skills using Pharmacy systems and Microsoft applications.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates physician drug orders for appropriateness to patient condition and therapies.
• Processes provider medication orders including entry, compounding, labeling, and documentation.
• Consults with healthcare professionals on drug therapy and usage.
• Ensures drugs are available to patients to avoid therapy delays.
• Assists in orienting new personnel and students to department services.
• Assists in maintaining compliance with accreditation and hospital policies.
