Qualifications

• RPh or PharmD with a minimum one year of experience within the past 24 months preferred.
• Unrestricted state licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the medication delivery system and ensure integrity and proper storage of medications.
• Maintain records and reports related to purchase, receipt, and disposition of drugs and related supplies.
• Ensure medications are properly packaged and labeled; profile orders and check for contraindications.
• Maintain daily inventory of controlled substances issued; dispense pharmaceuticals per procedures.
• Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapy.
• Counsel patients on medications and provide drug information to staff as needed.
• Document clinical encounters and maintain medical records with privacy and confidentiality in mind.
