Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide direct patient care to adult critical care populations in MSICU, NSICU, CSICU, CICU and ED during the 2nd shift (1300-2130). The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, precepting residents, and addressing clinical needs across Rex IP Pharmacy.

Qualified candidates will have PharmD or BS Pharmacy, NC licensure, and ideally board certification in CC or EM pharmacy.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy and licensure within 6 months of orientation.
• Board certification in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess data and prescribed therapies to provide pharmaceutical care interventions.
• Provide pharmacokinetic management for patients.
• Support inpatient nursing units with pharmaceutical care.
• Provide drug information to clinicians.
• Counsel patients and families on pharmacy care and lifestyle changes.
• Report adverse drug events and medication errors.
• Participate in code Blue events and quality improvements.
• Represent the department on committees and projects.
