Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe and effective medication use and monitor prescribed therapies within the hospital setting.

You will interact with the pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and staff, provide medication information, adjust dosing, and participate in training of pharmacists, students, and technicians, contributing to patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • One year of acute care hospital decentralized ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Interact daily with pharmacy team, nurses, physicians and staff to resolve drug therapy issues.
  • Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dosing adjustments and monitoring.
  • Participate in training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students and technicians.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and effective use of medications as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence-based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures. We have an amazing team;

  • You will interact daily with your pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff in the hospital and intervene in conflicts between the Pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug therapy issue resolutions that may arise.

  • You will provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, orders laboratory tests, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy

  • One year of acute care hospital decentralized ICU experience required
