Job description

Clinical Pharmacist – Sales Enablement & Market Specialist

Company: Rx Relief

Location: Near Lexington, KY (Hybrid)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Days

Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000 / year

Position Summary

Rx relief is seeking a dynamic Clinical Pharmacist to serve as the core clinical authority and strategic driver for our commercial sales team. Operating in a hybrid capacity near Lexington, KY, this role does not carry a direct sales quota or account ownership. Instead, you will act as an indispensable partner to our field account executives—providing high-level clinical guidance, educating high-value clinic accounts, and translating complex compound formulations into clear, high-impact clinical narratives.

You will also serve as our face in the field: networking with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), attending industry events, and relaying real-time market insights to leadership to shape our product strategy and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical & Product Sales Support
  • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for account executives managing high-priority clinic accounts.
  • Deliver clinical guidance, formulation evidence, and therapeutic protocol support during customer interactions.
  • Participate in virtual product demos, sales presentations, and on-site clinic visits to address technical clinical questions.
  • Author internal reference tools, clinical FAQs, and side-by-side product comparisons.
  • Lead clinical and therapeutic product training for newly hired sales representatives.
2. Strategic Account Health & Retention
  • Collaborate with sales reps to track account engagement, evaluate therapy usage trends, and execute growth strategies.
  • Partner on Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), client touchpoints, and clinical education workshops for active practices.
  • Uncover upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts and hand off actionable insights to the owning rep.
  • Identify clinical engagement drop-offs early to assist in proactive account retention strategies.
  • Represent Rx relief across industry trade shows, clinical conferences, webinars, and regional medical association events.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with practitioners, key opinion leaders, practice owners, and clinical educators.
  • Gather competitive market intelligence—monitoring competitor pricing, messaging shifts, emerging treatment protocols, and unaddressed practitioner pain points.
  • Synthesize field feedback into recurring reports (weekly/monthly) for leadership to help guide product development and brand differentiation.
  • Map out untapped clinical sectors and emerging market opportunities for commercial outreach.
  • Identify prospective clinic accounts aligned with key growth profiles and initiate introductory relationships.
  • Generate warm introductions and qualified leads for sales reps to advance through the pipeline.
  • Leverage industry network and event attendance to expand the pharmacy’s brand awareness among target decision-makers.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Clinical pharmacy background or equivalent clinical experience within a medical device, pharmaceutical, or relevant healthcare space.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex clinical concepts into accessible, persuasive content for sales partners and healthcare clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for building relationships across clinical and practice leadership.
  • Collaborative self-starter who excels in a consultative support role and is driven by collective team wins rather than personal account ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience drafting clear strategic summaries and internal briefings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior background in compounding pharmacy operations, clinical education, or medical/pharmaceutical sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) for tracking touchpoints and lead activity.
  • Existing professional network among regional clinical communities and medical practices.
  • Direct experience presenting at or participating in industry trade shows and clinical conferences.
  • Paid Time Off
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan
  • Relocation: Open to discussing relocation assistance depending on candidate credentials and proximity.
