Make a Difference. To assure that medications, supplies, and drug information are furnished to the customer in an accurate and timely way in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards. To review and evaluate drug regimens, which include the medication profile, in order to identify issues which require pharmacy intervention or monitoring. Participates in direct patient care, multidisciplinary planning for the best use of specific medications, and multidisciplinary planning of care for groups of patients. Mentors pharmacy students. Provides education to patients and caregivers. Develops positive relationships in satisfying the needs of internal and external customers, as well as with pharmaceutical service representatives. Participates in quality improvement projects.
