Qualifications

• Typing 20 wpm and basic computer skills required.
• Basic EKG course completed or 85% on BMH EKG exam within six months of hire.
• Ability to work independently and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct calls professionally.
• Monitor telemetry and notify nursing staff of changes.
• Document vital signs accurately.
• Maintain proficiency with computer and EMR systems.
• Prepare and organize patient charts.
• Serve as unit receptionist and assist with supplies.
• Relay messages accurately to providers and departments.
