Job summary

Elliot Hospital seeks a Clinical Dietitian to join the Oncology Service Department in Manchester, NH. You will evaluate, assess, and plan nutrition care for adult outpatients with cancer and share nutrition information with staff, physicians, students, and the community through individual and group programs.

You will perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, document recommendations in the medical record, deliver patient and community education, and stay current with oncology nutrition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
• Major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management
• Previous experience in a clinical setting with some cancer patients
• Required Registration with the American Dietetic Association, and RD registration with the State of New Hampshire
• Excellent clinical documentation and successful usage of EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with licensure, scope of training and organizational standards
• Clearly communicates recommendations to the patient and clinical team through medical record documentation and other communication mechanisms
• Conducts patient and community education programs and support group presentations related to nutrition and cancer
• Researches and maintains knowledge base for latest developments in nutrition for oncology patients and for cancer prevention
