Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-time Diet Aide to join our nutrition team. You will assist with patient meal coordination, educate those on moderately complex diets, and maintain patient information in our software to ensure dietary needs are met.

You will work in a fast-paced hospital setting at SITE - 1226 Cedar St NE, Grand Rapids, with daytime shifts from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. The role supports patient care and requires strong communication and accuracy.

• One year of relevant, customer-facing experience in service roles.
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI NAB 90 days
• CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI NAB 90 days
• CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI NAB 90 days

Responsabilidades

• Answer calls and process diet orders, diet instructions, transfers, discharges, and guest tray info.
• Update and maintain patient data files in the software system.
• Assemble tray tickets/menus and verify against the software, adjusting as needed.
• Write special diets when required.
• Provide and post production tallies for food items per schedule.

Job Summary

Join our team at Corewell Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients every day. As part of the nutrition team, you'll assist with the care of our patients by coordinating menu selection and educating those with moderately complex diets. You'll also maintain patient information in our software program, ensuring that their nutritional needs are always met.

SITE - 1226 Cedar St NE - Grand Rapids

Schedule: Part Time, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Variable days and Every other weekend.

Essential Functions

• Answers telephone and processes diet orders, special diets instructions, transfers, discharges and guest tray information. May screen diet order for accuracy.
• Updates and maintains patient data files within appropriate software system/database.
• Assembles appropriate tray tickets/menus, verifies consistency with appropriate software system/database and troubleshoots variances making changes or adjustments as needed.
• May write special diets as needed.
• Provides and posts production tallies for food items to appropriate food service area according to scheduled time.

Qualifications

Required

• 1 year of relevant experience Customer- facing Service on phone or face to face; customer service and/or managed health care, Basic Diet and nutrition knowledge, time management, organizational and risk mitigation skills
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days
• CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days
• CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days

Preferred

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• High volume call center and Electronic Medical Record experience
