Job summary

Orbis Education in Portland is seeking full-time Clinical Instructors to oversee nursing students during their clinical rotations at partner sites in the Greater Portland area. You will implement the academic program, supervise online theory, labs, and clinical experiences, and collaborate with Clinical Lead Faculty to ensure course alignment.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm with rotation flexibility, a tuition package as part of benefits, and a supportive team

Qualifications

Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students and clinical staff.
Two years of nursing practice with MSN; five years with BSN.
Two years of teaching or precepting experience (preferred).
RN licensure required; WA license a plus; MSN/BSN with enrollment in an MSN program can be considered.

Responsibilities

Facilitate effective student learning in the clinical setting and via the online learning environment
Partner with Clinical Lead Faculty to ensure course alignment in the clinical setting
Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical/lab setting related to professionalism, practice, and research
Collaborate effectively with the Healthcare Partner and its staff and support clinical adjunct faculty when needed
Maintain and Teach Nursing Knowledge
Maintain current knowledge of the extended campuses Nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements
Maintains clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise
Grading, skills check off, lab support and student office hours
