Job summary

The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month clinical track faculty position starting in the 2027-2028 academic year. The role emphasizes nursing practice, teaching, and scholarship with responsibilities across Behavioral Health, Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics, and Pediatric Nursing.

Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in person and participate in clinical education, student mentorship, and program development.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Nursing is required.
Michigan nursing license or willingness to obtain one.
Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
Ability to participate in developing and implementing innovative curricular activities.
Clinical teaching ability and excellence in a defined area.
Current clinical experience in a practice-relevant role.
Evidence of service to profession and academic community.
Compliance with health requirements and BLS before start.

Responsibilities

Provide didactic and/or clinical instruction in Behavioral Health, Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics and Pediatric Nursing.
Engage in teaching and scholarship to support undergraduate programs.
Collaborate with faculty to develop innovative educational programs and clinical experiences.
