Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Nursing in the Twin Cities seeks clinical faculty to teach across all degree programs, sustain a clinical practice, and contribute to scholarly productivity.

This 9-month appointment with potential 12-month options emphasizes service, governance, and leadership opportunities, with on-campus presence required and no fully remote arrangements. Rank will be determined at hire based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (DNP, PhD or international equivalent), or comparable qualification.
• For RNs, licensure in MN by start date.
• Licenses and certifications needed for specialty areas.
• Defined area of scholarship.
• Experience teaching in an educational or practice setting.
• Record of service to the nursing profession.

Responsibilities

• Teach across all degree programs.
• Demonstrate a desire and plan to become an expert educator. Maintain clinical practice in their area of expertise, which may be incorporated as part of the position.
• Demonstrate scholarly productivity.
• Participate in School of Nursing service and governance activities.
• Consider opportunities for formal leadership in the School of Nursing and profession.
• Hires will be made in accordance with the needs of the School.
