Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead and partner with operational managers to ensure safe, effective care. The CNS role centers on leadership, consultation, research, education, and clinical practice per California Board standards.

The CNS will participate in hiring decisions, staff development, cost/benefit analyses of new technologies, and ongoing quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes across specialties including comprehensive stroke

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure with CNS scope
• Leadership and team collaboration experience
• Knowledge of stroke care and clinical practice standards

Responsibilities

• Develops specialty competency criteria for outcome monitoring of staff
• Provides coaching and counseling to nursing staff and health care providers
• Develops standards, policies and procedures for specialty patient populations
• Partners with managers to implement practice changes and clinical innovations
