Job summary
Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, Indiana, seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to advance nursing practice through research, evidence-based care, and process improvements. The CNS will lead innovative care models and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nursing perspectives into comprehensive care plans.
The role requires a Master’s CNS focus, 3 years of clinical expertise, and RN licensure, with ACLS/BLS as applicable.
Qualifications
- Required- Master’s Degree-Clinical focus program as a CNS
- Required- 3 years Clinical area of expertise
- Require within 90 days- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Required- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- As Required by Unit- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Required-Post-Master’s Degree Certified Nurse Specialist certificate, if MSN was not focused on the application of the CNS role
Responsibilities
- Leads in nursing research, evidence-based practice and process improvement
- Develops, pilots, evaluates, and incorporates innovative models of practice.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to integrate the nursing perspective into a comprehensive plan of care.
- Collaborates with Clinical Educators on content and operational design of orientation, clinical competency, and other clinical education development.
