Job summary

BJC HealthCare's Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurological Sciences & Stroke. You will act as the clinical expert, promoting evidence-based practice and leading nursing care in a specialty area with patients, families and physicians.

Also expected to educate staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7am-3pm or 8am-4pm) with no weekends or holidays and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (ACNS program) required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing, charge or leadership experience.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurological Sciences & Stroke preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care and consultation in management of patient care.
• Improves the quality of health care by providing educational services to patients, families, and health care professionals.
• Educates, develops and supports clinical practice.
• Conducts scientific investigation and research.
