Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to guide nursing practice, mentor staff, and champion evidence-based care. The CNS will collaborate with the Clinical Director to advance patient outcomes and nursing excellence across the Downey campus.

The CNS role emphasizes leadership in education, system redesign, and clinical performance improvement, supporting staff and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with CNS
• Minimum three years clinical experience in care setting of expertise
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Additional requirements as defined below

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice and clinical excellence within the CNS scope.
• Support and develop registered nurses at the point of care.
• Lead redesign of systems to improve access, quality and patient safety.
