The University of Kansas Health System is looking for a Clinical Nurse (RN) Float Pool. This position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities across various nursing specialties, allowing nurses to work in Acute Care, Heart Center, and Cambridge Tower units.
Candidates should have an ADN and a minimum of 6 months to 2 years of experience. The role focuses on patient care, documentation, and collaborative care delivery in a supportive environment.
Position Title: Clinical Nurse (RN) Float Pool
Our Float Pool provides nurses for units requiring additional resources. A staffing coordinator assigns nurses based on skills and interests, offering the chance to work in diverse nursing specialties. The role includes 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12‑hour shifts—full‑time, part‑time and PRN—across Acute Care, Heart Center, and Cambridge Tower units. New graduate nurses will rotate in the Acute Care Division, gaining experience in complex medical, surgical, and telemetry patient care. After building relationships on multiple units, nurses may apply for full‑time positions on those units as they become available.
