Job summary

Avana Plastic Surgery in Dallas, TX, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our hair restoration and transplant center. You will conduct consultations, pre- and post-operative care, medical evaluations, treatment planning, and support surgical hair transplant procedures with a patient-focused approach.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas NP license, a Master''s or Doctorate in Nursing, and board certification (FNP/AGNP). Experience in dermatology or cosmetic surgery is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP), or related specialty.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or hair restoration strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical and cosmetic environment.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories for hair restoration candidates.
• Perform scalp and hair loss evaluations and assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients regarding surgical and non-surgical hair restoration options, expectations, risks, and aftercare.
• Assist physicians during hair transplant procedures including FUE/FUT treatments as needed.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including follow-up appointments and recovery monitoring.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice and state regulations.
• Monitor patient outcomes and maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgical technicians, and administrative staff to ensure exceptional patient experience.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and clinic safety protocols.
• Participate in patient education initiatives and support clinic growth through excellent customer care.
