The Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System is seeking a Clinical Nurse within the Health Services Department at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina. The role focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care to inmate patients, supporting the health care team and maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.

This position is located in the Health Services Department at the FCC Butner, North Carolina. Responsible for providing a full range of nursing services to include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the medical condition of the inmate patients. Provides information to the health care team members and contributes to the maintenance or restoration of health status.
May serve as a lead nurse in providing direction and guidance to RNs or other medical staff in coordinating the delivery of patient care. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patients care, and ensuring that nursing standards are met on a consistent basis. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
